"Harmonieprinz hat mich mal ein Nachtmensch genannt. Meine Musik bewegt sich viel im Bereich der Harmonik und der Melodik. Mal komplex, mal einfach, breit und schmal, mal straight, mal verwinkelt. Wie die Menschen und das Leben", sagt Johannes "Pit" Przygodda. Um den jeweils neuesten "heißen Scheiß" habe er sich nie bemüht, gesteht er ganz offen und vielleicht ist das die Grundlage, um ein so wunderbar relaxtes Electro-Rock-Jazz-Pop-Album vorzulegen, wie er das mit PITSOUND tut, in dem sich, wie er schelmisch bemerkt, "eine Prise Punk" befindet, nach der man aber ganz genau suchen muss.

Sonst könnte man Pit Przygodda womöglich gleich für den deutschen Burt Bacherach oder ein anderes führendes Easy Listening Genie halten, dem es bei PITSOUND in erster Linie um puren Wohlklang in den verschiedensten Facetten geht. Der Name PITSOUND ist eine respektvolle Verbeugung vor dem legendären Beach Boys Album "Pet Sounds", soundtechnisch sind die Chöre das euphorsierende Element.

Jeder einzelne der 13 Tracks ist auf seine Weise uplifting und angenehm, besonders wenn Przygoddas Lebensgefährtin Geka Winkler ihre wunderbare Stimme beisteuert wie in den Tracks "Cliff" und "Drive". Ebenso gelungen ist der unglaublich zurückgelehnte, aber dabei null kitschige saxophonlastige Introtrack "When you step" und die vergleichsweise rockigen Tracks "Two for futur" und "A rockets nightflight", in denen man dann auch die "Prise Punk" entdecken kann. Zum Schluß bekommt man dann mit "Home of the wishes" noch eine perfekte Hymne, die zu praktisch jedem Happy End der Filmgeschichte passt, mit auf den Weg.

Dem Album ist sowohl die lange Karriere Przygoddas als Musiker für diverse Kunst-, Kurz- und Experimentalfilme, als auch sein Wirken als Mastermind der aufgelößten Ex-Kitty Yo Band "Go Plus" anzumerken. Nun aber ist es Zeit für sein Soloprojekt PITSOUND in der er alle Facetten seines Könnens vereinigt, den perfekten Mix aus Keyboard-, Film- und Songmusik, in denen er neben Bacharach und den Beach Boys "Chick Korea, Giorgio Moroder, Mike Oldfield, Nik Kershaw, Johnny Cash" findet.

Auf einer kleinen Tournee im März und April stellt der Wahlhamburger gemeinsam mit Bassist und Schlagzeuger sein neues Album vor.

Somebody called him the "harmony prince" and Pit Przygodda didn´t deny. "My music deals with harmonies and melodies. Sometimes they are simple, sometimes very complex, sometimes straight, sometimes complicated. Like human beings!"

He admits that he never was interested in the latest trends and most fashionable sounds and maybe that is the base to produce such a wonderful easy listening electro-rock-jazz-pop album like he does with PITSOUND. By the way Przygodda pretends, that if you listen carefully you even can discover a touch of punk in it. "But you have to listen carefully" he adds with a smile.

Maybe Pit Przygodda can be described as a kind of German Burt Bacherach of the 21st century, anyway he is one of today´s most genius easy listening producers PITSOUNDis a respectful hommage to the Beach Boys classic album Pet Sounds, soundwise Przygodda likes to use the typical synth choirs that create euphoria.

Each of the 13 Tracks is uplifting, especially when Pit Przygoddas companion Geka Winkler adds her amazing voice like in "Cliff" and "Drive". The laidback introtrack "When you step" is dominated by its saxophone passages is as brilliant as the more uptempo rocking tracks like "Two for futur" and "A rockets nightflight" (it´s here where you can discover the touch of punk) . Another highlight is the "Home of the Wishes" - a perfect soundtrack for a happy end of any movie.

PITSOUND shows all qualities of Pit Przygodda who has a long career as a film music composer for diverse short, art and experimental films and mastermind of diverse bands like i.e. the band Go Plus, who released 3 LPs on Berlin based cult label Kitty Yo! PITSOUND is his solo project where he delivers the perfect mix of keyboard-, film- and songmusic, listen carefully and you can find aside of Beach Boys and Bacharach a touch of Chick Korea, Giorigo Moroder, Mike Oldfield, Nik Kershaw, Johnny Cash and get a feeling that this album is a stroke of genius.

It will be presented in March/April on a live tour through Germany, Przygodda performs it together with a bass player and a drummer.
